When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

First time I remember was in Venice but I decided to become a devotee when I attended the ISKCON temple in Melbourne.

My name is Justine I recently moved to Melbourne. I always pray and talk with Krishna a lot throughout my life. When I was in Bali I made a promise to him and I asked him to help me keep that promise. I started to have some troubles while I was in Melbourne and I was praying to Krishna for help then I found website for ISKCON and this led me to the temple in Albert Park.

What are your expectations from this community?

To increase my Krishna Consciousness by associating with devotees and attend Kirtan and Harinam.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I am completing a psychology degree with the intention of helping people understand the true nature of mental illness and to assist them to overcome these problems. I would love to offer this as my service to Lord Krishna and His devotees. My promise to Lord Krishna was to start a business/charity to help children all over the world in poverty and poor conditions, I originally planned to start helping children in Cambodia as I visited the country and was very upset with the current conditions there and thought there was so much that could be done, so I thought of several ideas and how I could acheive them and I prayed to Krishna to help me to accomplish this task. I can see he has helped me by providing avenues of oppurtunity, therefore, I only intend to start the business/charity in service to Lord Krishna.
