When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

As far as I remember may be it was when i was around 7 or 8 years old that i came into contact with ISKCON. A devotee used to come home to preach and mom used to ask many questions that is how she got convinced of the Hare Krsna movement and bought many books. But we did not joined at that time. It was only around 1999 or 2000 that we started to attend temple programmes regularly and then after some one and a half years we became staunch followers and now both mom and my elder sister are Brahmin initiated by H.H. Lokanath Swami and the rest of us aspire to be initiated by Him. But in my case I grew convince day by day by regularly and faithfully reading Shrila Praphupada's books which mom bought when we very young.

Hare krsna. Pamho. My name is Huzooree-Ramessur Gowree but I am mostly known as Varuna. I am married to Huzooree Chetan Anand (he is an education officer by profession). I am 23 years old and just passed my BA in English at the University of Mauritius. I am also a business woman as I hold a bookshop. I aspire to be initiated by His Holiness Lokanath Maharaj. Our family joined the movement 10-12 years ago. I am very interested in music and dance and similar arts like theater etc. I am member of the local 'Hare Krsna band' in Mauritius known as Vaikuntha Vibes.
