When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

Having been a life member for most of my childhood years spent in India, I came into contact with devotees at an early age. However, my most recent experience that sparked a serious interest in Krsna bhakti was when I met some very senior members of our ISKCON community here in Melbourne, in 2006. I have been hooked ever since.

Melbourne Mahaprabhu Mandir. Devotees: Aniruddha das and Acintya-rupa dd, Bhakta das and Bhakti dd.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

My nature is to explore widely and critically, but with a view to simplifying the contents of my heart and mind. It is for this very reason that Krsna consciousness for me represents perfection - Prabhupada's program offers an infinite horizon for expansion of consciousness, while making reasonable appeals to my sense of personhood, decency, dignity, and moral righteousness. The sublime truths of love of Godhead for me opens up many avenues for creative self-expression for the pleasure of Guru and Krsna, while allowing me the space to explore the endless depths of my own eternal consciousness.

What are your expectations from this community?

I would this to be an avenue for me to meet like minded and similar-hearted people from all around the world. Technology has made the world small, Prabhupada through ISKCON has made it even smaller, and Desire Tree has made it smaller still. Thank you.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I am a professional designer by trade, and it is in my nature to work creatively and with an eye for visual beauty. I can see related projects being a direct way by which to serve Prabhupada's community.
