Dr Vrinda Baxi replied to Mudit's discussion Why are cows so dear to Krishna ? I can understand that Krishna is compassionate towards all living beings , but why cows? Why not dog,cat or any other animal ?

When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

In 1999, Mysore. My friends were going there and my own anxiety took me at their doorsteps. Though they were ritviks, but i definitely want to credit for teaching me what I should never be if I am serious in my devotion.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

Govardhan, Mahindra Hills, Hyderabad.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

I aspire to be a devotee and serve Srila Prabhupada. I am interested in taking Varnasrama a step forward in my own humble way, through my monthly newsletter, THE EIGHT PETALS and other such endeavors.

What are your expectations from this community?

Invigorative spiritual discussions and lot of exchange on realization etc.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?
