When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I came in contact with the Hare Krishna movement while attending classes at the University of CA, Irvine in 2003. I joined the Laguna Beach temple in Spring of that year. The closet temple to me is the Bhakti Center (although it is not officially registered as ISKCON at this point, legally.)

I don't have expectations from this community other than to find nice lectures and kirtans
