When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I became aware of the Hare Krishna movement around the age of 12 through a beautiful color art book/coffee table book titled KRSNA which always sat in a prominent spot in my Aunts living room in Vancouver Washington (Portland OR metro area). She supposedly received the book while attending a lecture or an audience with Srila Prabhupada in San Francisco. I then purchased "Easy Journey to Other Planets" and Bhagavad Gita as it is, at Powell's Books in Portland this was in the early to mid 80's. Years later I accidentally wandered into the Ratha Yatra at Venice Beach in the early 2000's and have been attending the LA Temple as an uninitiated devotee ever since.
