    Name / Initiated name

    Amit

Daily number of rounds of Hare Krishna mahamantra.

Started from 4 rounds on December 3, 2013

When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

I joined ISKCON Youth Forum, in which young unmarried male boys are told how can we discover Ourselves. ISKCON Youth Forum has changed my life. I learnt why we should rise early in the morning. Why we should we offer food before eating to Lord Krishna. Why we are in this cycle of Birth and Death, Why we are sometimes happy and are in sorrow in ours lives. Hare Krishna !!!!

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

ISKCON, Shri Prabhupad Ashram, Shri Prabhupad Marg, Shri Prabhupad Nagar, Udhampur (Jammu & Kashmir)

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

I came to know about Lord Krishna from ISKCON. Lord Krishna is the father of all Universe. He is master, true guide of lives as he told Geeta, which tells how to live life. People worship Lord because of four reasons, that is, Fear, desire, duty and love and only the last one, that is, love eith krishna is the pure and selfless devotion, which should be practiced and adopted. Only those persons can be the devotee of Lord Krishna, who knows him, so first know Lord Krishna by reading Bhagwat Geeta, take a shelter of some Bonafide Guru, who can Tell you who is Krishna actually and after that know from true Guru how can we make Krishna Happy, how to work for krishna, how to live for krishna, how to offer food to krishna and how to eat prasadam of krishna. Hare Krishna !!!!

What are your expectations from this community?

I expect that ISKCON should advertise the bhakti movement by visiting every nook and corner of the towns by taking the help of the pure devotees because presently humans are not aware that what is the purpose of their lives, they are attached only to their house, relationships with wife, children and relatives but they are not attached with the master, that is Lord Krishna. Once they will start worshipping Lord Krishna not because of their duty but because of love, which can only come by developing it, they can be the pure devotee of Lord Krishna. Hare Krishna !!!!

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I love the company of Devotees of Lord Krishna, as I always accompany them on Weekly sundays because they tell us about the Lord Krishna. I usually attend the seminars and presentations of ISKCON Youth Forum and will always chant Hare Krishna Mahamantra throughout my life, so that I can develop true love for Lord Krishna. I would like to offer or sponsor for prasadam for Lord Krishna Devotees on occassions like Janmashtami, Ram Navmi, on my Birthdays and Nirjala Ekadashi's.
