When, where and how did you come into contact with the Hare Krishna Movement?

While living in San Francisco in February 1991, I had become Vegetarian and attended Hare Krishna temple in Berkley through the invitation of the apartment manager where I was living, who was a Hare Krishna. Eventually I took on a Vegan diet, a step beyond Vegetarian, which I feel that Vegan is the MOST ethical of all diets.

Name the nearest or most frequently Visited ISKCON temple/ centre and name few of the devotees whom you know.

Houston ISKCON. I met a few devotees. I can only get there maybe only a few times a year or less. Not that I don't want to get there more often, but it hasn't been possible. It takes a long time on two buses and a train ride to get there and a long time going back also. I can't remember the name of the one lady I met who worked in the kitchen. One lady's name is Jan. Another lady's original name is Debbie, but I can't remember her Hare Krishna name. Debbie is maybe a Probahada initiate from the sixties or whenever, I think.

Please describe yourself so that other like minded devotees can find you.

I'm an introvert. I'm Vegan. I love the atmosphere of the Hare Krishna temple. There is peacefulness of mind there. I'd like to learn Transcendental Meditation.

What are your expectations from this community?

I'm not sure. Just thought it might be something good to sign up on it, for whatever reasons. Maybe I can meet some people or whatever.

Describe any specific service you would love to offer to Lord Krishna & His devotees?

I helped with the flower-picking and making of popcorn garlands at the Houston Hare Krishna temple upon certain days that I was able to make it to the temple.
