We need Vaishnavi Poems for publishing

Vaishnavi Poems for publishing:

We are thrilled that you wish to participate!
There are fours basic ways in which you may participate:

Participate

1.     You may contribute original poems of your own composition to the project but emailing no more than 10 poems to catherine@secretyoga.com. (It is okay if they have been previously published on your own blog.) You will retain the copyrights to any poems you offer our project. Please allow up to two weeks for a confirmation. Are you not sure about the kind of poems we are looking for? Just click here to find out.

2.     You may  join the book production team. The tasks include, but are not limited to, helping select, organize and sort through the poems, coming up with chapter themes, selecting a book title, finding volunteers to write chapter introductions, etc. We have formed a private Facebook group for this purpose to allow for easy communication between us. This will be a team effort and all voices will be equally valuable. If you feel you have a special talent this project could benefit from, please let us know in this group.

3.     You may  invite others to participate in the project. If you have a female friend or family member, for example, who writes poetry, please invite her to share poetry with us. We greatly appreciate those who spread the word!

4.     Once the book is published, you may help with our marketing campaign. The book will be available for sale on Amazon, and other online outlets.

Thank you for sharing your voice!

We happily welcome you to this collection of female voices, that our lives not be left a mystery to future vaishnavi generations! May we may illuminate our personal journeys as spiritual aspirants, to learn from one another’s triumphs and struggles, to uncover meaning in apparent trivialities, to delight in the discovery that we aren’t alone on our paths, and inspire one another in the process.

We are all connected in a spiritual sisterhood and within each of our voices lives a kavi, a poet! May each of our poetic voices emerge and fill the pages of this book, in the service of our beloved Srimati Radharani, the topmost spiritual poet, or Kavirani. We look forward to hearing from you and thank you for sharing your voice.

All proceeds from this project will be donated to one, or several bhakti-based non-profit organizations picked by the participants.
