On a moon night

On a moon night

On a full moon night,

the moon shone very bright.

It was cold and calm,

but the blue moonlight kept the night warm.

The night was silent, silent than ever,

yet the air was filled with melody which was heard never.

It was so magical and pleasing,

it seemed to attract even the non-living.

I was mesmerized, I was astound,

for a while as if I was spellbound.

Then everything appeared to be changed,

as if for a divine meeting it was arranged.

The silent night now was vibrant than ever,

and the sweet melody now accompanied gurgle of river.

The land was beautifully decorated with sweet smelling flowers,

it seemed as if all the blessings of nature here showers.

I was enchanted then by a beautiful sight,

with the sweet melody danced a peacock with all its might.

What I saw next was the most magnificient scene,

to behold which I was eternally keen.

Sri Radha and Krsna sat on a wild flower swing,

around Whom the cowherd damsels gathered to sing.

Sri Radha was in amorous rapture,

beholding Her my heart and soul was captured.

I felt as if I was in a rhapsodic dream,

when She smiled through her curly locks like the moonbeam.

Everyone's attention was captured,

when Sri Krsna blew in His flute in enrapture.

He appeared like a mountain of blue in trance,

whenever Sri Radha gave a playful glance.

Vishakha fanned Them both,

while Sri Radha enjoyed with Krsna in yellow cloth.

Lalita sweetly sanged the glories,

hearing which material miseries will surely cease.

Other gopis craddled the swing soothingly,

to give Radha and Krsna joy profusely.

Krsna was like a bumblebee tasting the beauty of the gopis,

beholding this my spiritual ecstasy began to increase.

My heart merged in transcendental bliss,

seeing this loving exchance between Krsna and His devotees.

Suddenly the atmosphere begin to shift,

from spiritual to material it appeared to drift.

Then I found myself again in the lonely night,

gazing at the blue moon that shone very bright....
