Rāmeśvara: How do you.... But then he says, "How do you develop the strength to keep chanting even when māyā is making you so attracted?"
Prabhupāda: That means your chanting is not pure. That is called aparādha. You are thinking that "I am chanting, I am purified," and finding out another woman, illicit sex. Then how you can be purified?
(Morning walk---------Los Angeles).
Tamāla Kṛṣṇa: She asked, how does she get Kṛṣṇa's instructions while chanting?
Prabhupāda: Kṛṣṇa's instruction are there in Bhagavad-gītā. Don't you find Kṛṣṇa's instruction? Is it difficult? All instruction are clearly given there. What is the difficulty?
(Room conversation-------Vrndavana).
Allen Ginsberg: How long a saṅkīrtana to begin with, do you think?
Hayagrīva: The first one would last, what thirty minutes? Forty minutes? Thirty, forty minutes?
Prabhupāda: Yes. Forty, forty-five. At least, half an hour beginning.
(Room conversation--------Columbus, Ohio).
Viṣṇujana: How will it be possible, Prabhupāda, for a man whose mind is clouded to constantly chant Hare Kṛṣṇa? A man who's always thinking thoughts about family, friends, country, nation?
Prabhupāda: Yes. Think of. At the same time, chant. Two things will go on, and this will conquer. (chuckling) As māyā is forcing you to drag you from this Kṛṣṇa consciousness, you also force māyā by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. There is fight. And māyā will go away.
