Hare Krsna everyone,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All Glories to Srila Prabhupada !
In December, I was fortunate enough to stay over at Indore temple for a night, and then at Ujjain temple for a few days.
It was really wonderful in both places.
In both places, the devotees were really helpful to us, (my mum and I) and we got to see many wonderful devotees and places.
The devotees at Indore received us so warmly it was amazing. Even though our flight was delayed, they waited patiently for us to arrive. Then at the temple, they made a point to see that we had a comfortable place to stay, and hot milk to drink before going to bed.
Joining them in the morning for mangal arati, we could see their natural devotion to Sri Sri Radha Govinda. Such gorgeous Deities, and taken care of so nicely. It was also their kindness to drive us to Ujjain temple.
Upon arrival in Ujjain we met HH Bhakti Caru Swami, and got to hear a bit of the class that morning, and the following mornings. Then we met many other devotees whom we went out with to see the places where altars are made, where Srila Prabhupada is made, the Sandipani Muni ashram and many many other holy and special places as well.
There is so much history in Ujjain, and we spent several hours just discussing that.
Brahminical Standards are high in Ujjain, and it's seen in everyone there.
They also have the loveliest ISKCON Jagannath temple not too far away. What a pleasure to see the Lord's smile.
All in all, both ISKCON Indore and ISKCON Ujjain are indeed wonderful places to go to. Very special places.
Hope to return more sooner than later...
your servant,
brijlata dasi
