tulayāma lavenāpina svargaḿ nāpunar-bhavambhagavat-sańgi-sańgasyamartyānāḿ kim utāśiṣaḥThe value of a moment's association with the devotee of the Lord cannot even be compared to the attainment of heavenly planets or liberation from matter, and what to speak of worldly benedictions in the form of material prosperity, which are for those who are meant for death.(S.B.1:18:13).pibanti ye bhagavata ātmanaḥ satāḿkathāmṛtaḿ śravaṇa-puṭeṣu sambhṛtampunanti te viṣaya-vidūṣitāśayaḿvrajanti tac-caraṇa-saroruhāntikamThose who drink through aural reception, fully filled with the nectarean message of Lord Kṛṣṇa, the beloved of the devotees, purify the polluted aim of life known as material enjoyment and thus go back to Godhead, to the lotus feet of Him (the Personality of Godhead).(S.B.2:2:37).āyur harati vai puḿsāmudyann astaḿ ca yann asautasyarte yat-kṣaṇo nītauttama-śloka-vārtayāBoth by rising and by setting, the sun decreases the duration of life of everyone, except one who utilizes the time by discussing topics of the all-good Personality of Godhead. (S.B.2:3:17).śṛṇvataḥ śraddhayā nityaḿgṛṇataś ca sva-ceṣṭitamkālena nātidīrgheṇabhagavān viśate hṛdiPersons who hear Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam regularly and are always taking the matter very seriously will have the Personality of Godhead Śrī Kṛṣṇa manifested in their hearts within a short time. (S.B.2:8:4).praviṣṭaḥ karṇa-randhreṇasvānāḿ bhāva-saroruhamdhunoti śamalaḿ kṛṣṇaḥsalilasya yathā śaratThe sound incarnation of Lord Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Soul (i.e. Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam), enters into the heart of a self-realized devotee, sits on the lotus flower of his loving relationship, and thus cleanses the dust of material association, such as lust, anger and hankering. Thus it acts like autumnal rains upon pools of muddy water. (S.B.2:8:5).
