The pure devotee is just like the chataki birddescribed in Sanskrit literature.Just as the chataki drinks only waterthat falls from the clouds,so the pure devotee,ever fixed at the lotus feet of the Supreme Lord,thinks only of Him and therebydrinks the nectar of the rain of Krishna`s mercy.Just as the chataki bird prays for the cloudregardless of whether it showers, rains,or throws a thunderbolt,so the pure devotee accepts the mercyof the Lord in whatever form it takes.
