Odisha Rath Yatra: Chariot wheels ready

Puri, June 4:
With the world famous Rath Yatra in Odisha’s Puri scheduled to commence from June 29, the traditional carpenters of the Sri Jagannath temple
completed
the construction of 42 wheels of the three wooden chariots for the deities on Tuesday.Sources in the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) said the along with 42 wheels, construction of 21 axles have also been completed in time.
After these wheels are connected with the axles, the carpenters will begin laying wooden shafts across the wheels within a couple of days.
The temple administration is in constant touch with the Biswakarma, Bhai Maharana and Bhoi Maharana sevaks for timely construction of the chariots.
