INDORE: For all those who thought studying at IIM was all about learning tricks of management trade here is some news for you. The budding managers are in for some 'gyaan' on Bhagavad Gita on how to combat challenges that they may encounter in professional as well as personal life.

Professor
at IIM-I Abhay Chaitanya and member of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has been giving tips to students of post graduate programme (PGP) in management on how to put on a brave front in face of adversities and lead a perfect life.

"Gita will not only help students deal with day-to-day challenges but make them good professionals and evolve their personalities," said Chaitanya. The course has been made optional and around 70 students have enrolled for it. Students will first be introduced to Bhagavad Gita and will later be made to understand the pragmatic approach to it," said he adding that in its 10 sessions, focus would be on overcoming dilemma by controlling state of mind.

At the end of the session, students would be given a tool to evaluate themselves. "We have come up with a tool, where students will be required to calculate their score and rate themselves, according to their personality. This will help them know their problems and learn ways to overcome them."

Students seem to be excited with the institute's initiative. Shaily Gupta said, "I was unaware of the importance of Gita, but I think such sessions will guide me about its significance. Another student Paridhi Bhandari said, "I have studied Bhagavad Gita before and it taught me how to find answers to my problems. I have imbibed these lessons in my day to day life and I'm looking forward to attend this new course soon."
