IIT, Guwahati students participate in Panihati Chida-dahi Utsav

Nearly 500 students and faculty members of Indian Institute of Technology, Guwahati took part in the Panihati Chida-dahi festival organized by Hare Krishna Movement, Guwahati at the IIT campus and made the event a grand success. After the program many students had interactions with devotees. They were of the opinion that such programs should be conducted more often. The Director of IIT was in favor of conducting this program on the campus. They also considered allowing the devotees to conduct seminars followed by kirtan and prasadam twice a month on the campus.

Abhishekam to Their Lordships Sri Sri Nitai Gaurasundar was done and the Deities took a dip in the waters of Brahmaputra river as part of the festival. Everyone enjoyed the ceremony and participated in kirtans. Many of the students bought Srila Prabhupada’s books. The festival concluded with dinner feast prasadam.
