The Holy River Yamuna is Calling Out For Help !!
Do You Know - The world Health Organization (WHO) has declared our holy Yamuna River a "Dead River" beyond New Delhi, well before it enters the Land of Shri Krishna.

A note on how to kill a river again and again?
(And also how it still can be saved)
• A river is a natural watercourse flowing towards an ocean, a lake, a sea, or another river. Killing it is a simple task.
• Take away its waters and hence its flow.
• Pollute it (contaminate its natural freshness).¬
• Take away more waters (pollute it even more for lack of dilution capacity)
• Pollute it further
• Keep repeating the above (nobody bothers)
• Not a drop of fresh water from Yamunotri is allowed to flow on Delhi’s Yamuna river bed... (November to May)
• Only sewage is made to flow on Yamuna...
• In Vrindavan, Mathura AND Agra ... Only sewage water from Delhi flows into Yamuna...
This is what the The Central Pollution Control Board says in its report - WATER QUALITY STATUS OF YAMUNA RIVER (1999 – 2005) on its official website.
“ From Wazirabad barrage no water is allowed to flow down particularly during summer, as the available water in the river is not adequate to fulfill the water supply demand of Delhi. The water flows in the Yamuna River downstream of Wazirabad is the treated, partially treated or untreated domestic & industrial waste-water contributed by various drains joining river Yamuna and canal water.
After 22 km downstream from Wazirabad barrage the Yamuna water is again blocked and diverted into Agra Canal for irrigation through another barrage at Okhla. At downstream Okhla barrage the water flows in the river is the drain water of domestic & industrial origin contributed mainly by Shahdara drain. After traveling a distance of around 166 km, the river reaches at Mathura from where again a major part of water is diverted for drinking water supply through Gokul barrage.”

It shall easily explain that what flows through Braj-Vrindavan is nothing but Industrial and Domestic Sewage of Delhi (not one drop of Original Yamuna River.) This is true for 8-9 months a year other than monsoons when there is too much water and hence dilution.

LET THE SACRED AND NATURAL FRESH WATERS OF YAMUNA FLOW THROUGH ITS STRETCH WITHOUT MIXING OF POLLUTION (TREATED OR UNTREATED), AS A RIVER SHOULD FLOW!
Right Now around 100,000 people from Hindu , Muslim , Sikh , diff vaishnava sampradayas like Pushti marg, Nimbarka etc , some semi political NGO’s are gathering at JantarMantar , New Delhi to do demonstrations to push central Govt to take some strong steps. They will perform akhand Kirtan at the site of demonstrations till they are invited by CentraL Govt officials.

The truth behind is this, it have been many years since anyone have paid any attention at all towards any river but yes Ganga and Yamuna have been ruin for past 50 years. More population, more polution and more polution mean, more waste in the river system and no where it could be disposed except in the sea or within the habitat area. Government need money and money goes toward corruption and as population groves, more mouth to feed within corruption system. Everyone says to themselves, I have paid a lot to get here so now is the time to recover and who cares this problems because i alone cannot solve it so why worry when no one cares.
