Amidst the uncertainties, whether there would be ‘Rath Yatra 2020′ or not, holy Puri’s three chariots were taken out in grand procession. Lord Jagganatha not only came out with his siblings but also maintained the continuity of the age old festival.
Devotees around the world got satiated after their lordships’ darshans though it was all virtually. Year 2020 is really going quite heavy for not only material persons materially but also for the devotees’ community spiritually. Lord of the world has remained confined to the screens of the gadgets at least for the congregational devotees.
A heartfelt gratitude to Srila Prabhupada again by whose mercy only, everyone irrespective of his or her caste & creed can have darshans of the deities of Sri Shetra. The current year of course can be counted as an exception but still lakhs of devotees took online darshans, participated in digital rathyatra & what not. Various ISKCON temples organized their own rathyatras within the temples only.
By the mercy of HH Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj, ISKCON Delhi pulled the ropes of a mini chariot in which Maharaj is seen performing aarti & other rituals along with some other senior devotees.
Quite on the same lines, Sri Sri Radha Madhav Temple (ISKCON ROHINI, Delhi) constructed its own small chariot, decorated it, equipped it with all the necessities & placed the three deities on it.
Then??? What happened???
Resident devotees were already charged. The moment Prabhupada pranam mantra was chanted, they started dancing in ecstasy along with pulling the chariot within the temple hall. Brahmcharies HG Vaikuntha Chandra Das & HG Amrit Gaur Das were serving as pujaries while others were engaged in their respective services.
The temple president HG Keshav Murari Das when talked to revealed that ISKCON’S deities’ ministry was already informed of the same & around a thousand devotees watched the event online on the temple’s facebook page.
Last but not the least, let’s pray Jaggannath, Baladeva, Subhadra all together to wipe out the ‘Corona Virus’ from the world & avail their darshans & association of devotees like ever before.
