OFFERING

TO RADHA RANI

Often we lament upon the loses suffered during our lifetime to such an extent that we star disregarding the life itself which is the most precious gift of the supreme. This occurs due our forgetful nature that we are the part and parcels of supreme personality of Godhead and are his eternal servant. We keep forgetting that happiness and misery appear and disappear as day comes after night and night comes after day.

sukham aindriyakaṁ daityā
deha-yogena dehinām
sarvatra labhyate daivād
yathā duḥkham ayatnataḥ

Prahlāda Mahārāja continued: My dear friends born of demoniac families, the happiness perceived with reference to the sense objects by contact with the body can be obtained in any form of life, according to one’s past fruitive activities. Such happiness is automatically obtained without endeavor, just as we obtain distress.

Something of this sought happened to me when I lost my father due to sudden heart. attack . It was a great loss and I could not come out of my grief and lamentation . My studies and health suffered as I recoiled inside and find the way out of my shock and depression.

Then by the mercy of Radharani I came in contact with a devotee who presented me with BG-As-It-Is. He advised me recite the tenth chapter aloud daily. As the chapter become more clear to me in due course of time the clouds of doubt cleared away from my mind. I was filled with all gratitude for the causeless mercy of Radharani who so kind even to the fallen conditioned souls that she immediately shows the path of Krishna consciousness to them and drives away their lamentations just as strong wind drives away the black clouds from the sky.

It is stated in Srimad Bhagavatam canto 10, chapter 88 and vers no. 8,
"The Personality of Godhead said: If I especially favor someone, I gradually deprive him of his wealth. Then the relatives and friends of such a poverty-stricken man abandon him. In this way he suffers one distress after another."

So, "It is at night that the sunrise becomes attractive, during the hot summer that cold water gives comfort, and during the cold winter months that warm water is pleasing. Lamplight appears attractive in darkness, not in the glaring light of day, and when one is distressed by hunger, food tastes especially good." In other words, to strengthen his devotees' mood of dependence on Him and longing for Him, the Lord arranges for His devotees to go through some suffering, and when He appears in order to deliver them, their gratitude and transcendental pleasure are boundless."

Although the loss suffered by me was irreparable but due to protection of most benevolent Radharani I was able to bear it with patience.
