One of the great obstacles in devotional service is when we find satisfaction, we find relief, we think we are pushing ourselves to a higher position when we hold on to the shadow, the dark side of another, which means the fault finding.

This reminds me of a example given by Srila Prabhupada.- Once a sieve said to a needle that there is a hole on your back. Though the sieve itself is full of holes. We are the same. We don't see our own faults.
