Since I have a new liver and kidney, we have to make sure the body does not reject them. That is why I am having immunosuppressant medicines. That is why I wear mask when I go out. And my caretakers they come close and talk. They have to wear masks and stay away. I don’t like this, I want to embrace all the devotees! Want to get the blessings of all the vaisnavas, But I cannot do this. If I try to do this and I get some infection, then goodbye! The doctor said, that I need to be in seclusion. But I said, how is that possible, my work is being in the midst of all the people! That is why many people give cash, I cannot take it as there are lot of germs in them. That is why I ask for your forgiveness. If any of my caretakers speak unbecomingly with you also I ask for forgiveness.
HH JAYAPATAKA SWAMI

Source: http://www.dandavats.com/?p=112132

Installation Of Lord Chaitanya’s Foot Print At Udupi 2023https://iskcondesiretree.com/profiles/blogs/installation-of-lord-chaitanya-s-foot-print-at-udupi-20232023-10-09T12:41:14.000Z2023-10-09T12:41:14.000ZISKCON Desire Treehttps://iskcondesiretree.com/members/iskcon_desire_tree

SP:- A Spiritual Master is always liberated. In any condition of His life He should not be mistaken as ordinary human being. This position of a Spiritual Master is achieved by three processes. One is called sadhana siddha. That means one who is liberated by executing the regulative principle of devotional service. Another is krpa siddha, one who is liberated by the mercy of Krishna or His devotee. And another is nitya siddha who is never forgetful of Krishna throughout his whole life. These are the three features of the perfection of life. Srila Prabhupada’s letter: Los Angeles, 21 June, 1970

Health Issues – Dallas, Texas, USA, 02 June 2023, 1.30 a.m. CDT

Jayapataka Swami: This morning at 1:30 am, the night shift devotee noticed that I had become practically motionless. He attempted to wake me up, but it appeared that I was in a diabetic coma as I was unresponsive. He immediately contacted Mahavaraha and the attending doctor, Dr. Vinay Gaurachandra. Upon examination, it was discovered that my blood sugar had dangerously dropped to around 29 or a similar level.
In America, 911 is the phone number that one can call in case of an emergency. Sarvajaya Madhava Das called and informed them about my dangerously low blood sugar. As a result, they sent some paramedics who administered intravenous glucose to me. The reason behind my significant drop in blood sugar is something that needs to be investigated.
When I regained consciousness, I felt a bit hazy. I looked around the room and saw all these men in blue uniforms surrounding me. I didn’t know if I had been kidnapped or what had happened. Then, Sarvajaya Madhava came over and put my glasses on because it’s difficult to see without them. After that, I started to realize that I was in the room where I had been sleeping at Sarvajaya Madhava’s house. Some of the devotees were in the background, and gradually, my consciousness returned. The doctor began asking me questions such as how many fingers I could see, what is my name, where I was, and various numerological questions like my date of birth.
I don’t know what happened. They informed me that I wasn’t responsive and had slipped into some sort of diabetic coma or similar state. I’m not sure about the details. They dialled the emergency number, and the paramedics were dispatched to revive me. Now everything is fine.
I underwent my Superficial Radiation Therapy this morning. I’m still feeling a bit shaken. Somehow, Krsna saved me. He wants me to do some more service, I guess. But it was a very close call. I mean, having a blood sugar level lower than 60 is incredibly dangerous. All my staff assisted me in overcoming this unexpected incident.
Now I am flying to Atlanta, New Panihati Dham. There, I will probably rest for a while, and tomorrow we will have Ratha-yatra. On Sunday, we will celebrate the Panihati Cida-dahi Mahotsava, Danda Mahotsava. Yesterday, according to the Vaisnava calendar, we celebrated it in Dallas. This weekend, we will celebrate it in New Panihati Dham.

Source: http://www.dandavats.com/?p=109068

73rd Vyasa Puja of HH Jayapataka Swami – April 12thhttps://iskcondesiretree.com/profiles/blogs/73rd-vyasa-puja-of-hh-jayapataka-swami-april-12th2022-04-11T12:49:43.000Z2022-04-11T12:49:43.000ZISKCON Desire Treehttps://iskcondesiretree.com/members/iskcon_desire_tree

Hare Krishna dear Devotees, Please accept our humble obeisances

All glories to Srila Prabhupada

Srila Prabodhananda Sarasvati reveals the secret of Navadvipa-dhama in his Navadvipa Satakam (verse 78):

aradhitam nava-vanam vraja-kananam te

naradhitam nava-vanam vraja eva dure

aradhito dvija-suto vraja-nagaras te

naradhito dvija-suto na taveha krsnah

“If you worship the nine islands of Navadvipa, you are actually worshiping Vrndavana and can easily gain entrance into that confidential place. If you don’t worship and take shelter of Navadvipa-dhama, Vrndavana will be very far away from you. If someone will worship dvija-suta (Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu), the son of the brahmana Jagannatha Mishra, that person will attain vraja-nagara Sri Krsna in Vrndavana. If one worships Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu, who is actually Krsna Himself, in Navadvipa, one is performing complete worship of Krsna. Worshiping Sacinanadana Gaurahari in Navadvipa is as good as worshiping Krsna in Vrndavana. If one does not worship dvija-suta Gaurahari, Lord Krsna will be very far away.”

Once in Vrindavana during Srila Prabhupada’s last days, he suddenly began to shed tears, lamenting that many of the old temples founded by Lord Chaitanya’s followers were giving way to ruin. He then expressed his desire to set up a trust to renovate these holy places. Lord Chaitanya had told the Goswamis of Vrindavana to rediscover the lost places of Lord Krishna’s Vrindavana pastimes. Later, Srila Bhaktivinoda Thakura found the place of Lord Chaitanya’s birth. Now Srila Prabhupāda wanted to renovate the pastime places of Lord Chaitanya and His personal associates in Gaura Mandala Bhumi. HH Jayaptaka Swami Maharaja is the life time chairman of Bhaktivedanta Swami Charity Trust which has undertaken the task of this work.

On Friday the 2nd July 2021, at 8.30pm (IST) we will hear about the importance and urgency of these initiatives from

I think our mood should be one of service. We should want to satisfy Lord Nityananda. We want to help great devotes like Das Raghunatha. Try to engage in the service of the supreme Lord and his devotees we are trying to be the dasanu anu das.

HOW TO OBESERVE THIS FESTIVAL AT HOME DURING THE LOCKDOWN?

Mix flat rice and yogurt and offer that to deities of Nitai Gaura or to the photos and take the prasadam. It’s not a fast day, this is a feast day. Lord Nityananda would take it as his lunch and later take other offerings.

Lord Nityananda was doing the pastime of Lord Krishna taking prasadam with his cowherd friends in forest!!

If you observe this festival, you can get the mercy of Lord Nityananda!!!!!!

We want to satisfy Lord Nityananda!!!

Today is a special opportunity to get special mercy of Nitai Gaura!”

– Excerpt from HH Jayapataka Swami’s morning class

HH Jayapataka Swami will be personally making a new preparation called ‘Madhavendra Puri’s Bhoga’ today!!

THE FESTIVAL OF PUNISHMENT!!

Why is it called so??

So this pastime, one can wonder why Lord Nityananda calls it a punishment. Why does he say, “You’re a thief.”? See Raghunatha dasa, he tried to achieve Lord Caitanya. He even personally and saw Lord Caitanya, but he was sent back, because if we want to go to Lord Caitnaya, we have to go through Lord Nityananda, and uh, now the way to Lord Nityananda is through His pure representatives in the guru-parampara. So, this pastime is famous because Raghunatha dasa sent his servants to the neighboring villages to get all the fruits, flat rice and yogurt available. So the news was going out, so merchants were coming with their bullock carts, ox carts filled with clay pots, yogurt, fruits and uh flat rice. And then, the word came out, “Raghunatha dasa is giving this breakfast feast.” At that time it was already approaching late morning, noon. People started running, not because they’re hungry, but because brahmana’s, vaisnava’s love feasts. They love parties, and this is that kind of a spiritual party, so everybody showed up, and even the merchants who were coming to sell their things, they were given two pots: one yogurt, one condensed milk, told to sit down, feast.

So, Lord Nityananda, He put a plate down for Lord Caitanya, an asana. Using His mystic power, He brought Lord Caitanya there. No one could see Him there except Lord Nityananda and a few elevated associates. So, there were very big clay pots. I mean big, like six feet. They used those to store rice in those days because the rats and varmints could not enter. So, they mixed and they used those big pots to mix. So they had different flavors. Lord Nityananda, they offered seven flavors. The other people, they offered two flavors: One yogurt, one with condensed milk.

For the fiftieth anniversary of ISKCON. We made up the menus yesterday and the day before, but last night, we had a doubt that maybe these quantities were too much for each flavor, so I had them make a prototype, and they found out that the quantities for each flavor were more. Total same, but since there’s more pots, each flavor was more. Anyway, this is the ecstasy of making pots. So, Raghunatha dasa, he was… while he was having his servants mix and offering the prasadam, his servants… people started to gather, and the whole field got filled up. In fact, there was no more room. People started to stand in the muddy banks of the Ganges. In fact, even that became filled. They began to stand in the Ganges itself, and the water was coming up to their ankles, but then there was no room. So people started standing in the Ganges up to their knees. The place became packed with people.

Then Lord Nityananda, He said, “I’m a cowherd boy, and these are my cowherd friends and we’re all taking our mid-day snack in the forest. Vana-bhojana.” It’s a picnic as you say in the West. Then, He walked through the crowd with Lord Caitanya, and everybody was chanting Haribol!

You wanted more, you’d say, “Haribol!” You’ve had enough, you’d say, “Haribol.” (laughter) Everyone was chanting Haribol! So Lord Nityananda took from one pot, and fed to Lord Caitanya. People would see the chipped rice rise in the air, and disappear. Lord Caitanya would take from someone else’s pot, and put it in Lord Nityananda’s mouth. It was just like kids that share eachother’s lunch, don’t care about suci or cleanliness. Just share eachother’s. Like that all the people were accepted as cowherd friends of Lord Caitanya. Would you like to be present in that festival?

HG Parijata mataji, the moderator in Mumbai, introduced Maharaj first to the Zoom audience.

Facebook Live: Click here

In these times especially when we are dealing with this crisis and lock down, devotees hardly get to meet anybody, they don’t go outside, they have no visitors and we are isolated from the outside world. What can be more joyful than to have your spiritual master, your spiritual mentor, your spiritual teacher come and connect with you and it is this joyful experience that we are going to talk about today. In relation to this very special and unique home visits that maharaj is conducting in relation to temples and devotees’ homes. So before we speak to maharaj and we have some questions for him, we would first like to hear from him and get some guidelines, some inspiration which will help devotees to feel uplifted spiritually. Hare Krsna maharaj!

HH Jayapataka Swami: You see, the authorities say that fear and anxiety are a bigger danger than the disease. So I thought I should speak first to my zone and also to different continents where I have many disciples. So I give a brief introduction about COVID-19. Then explain how there is no allopathic treatment, no vaccine yet. We have some alternative treatments which we are trying and so far looks promising! And then I tell them to use this opportunity to read books, chant Hare Krsna and preach, using the internet they can preach. Some places they have Bhagavad-gita courses and 300, 500 or even thousands of people participate. So to use this opportunity, have japathons, have various programs, and then I would start visiting the different devotees. You know, many times devotees ask, I could visit their house. But actually it is very difficult. But by Zoom I could visit hundreds and hundreds of houses! And you know, people become really excited! I enter their houses, I see their altar. Sometimes they offer me arati, sometimes they offer me prasadam. I say that Zoom prasadam is low calorie, high love! Ha! So some people offer me garlands. Later on I ask them for their realizations. They say that is a very high point in life. They always wanted me to visit their house. And I came by Zoom! So I go everywhere. In Zoom sometimes we are waiting, waiting, waiting. We go by the names we see on the screen, we say the name, they realize I am watching, and they say now maharaj is in your house! And they raise their hands! And they are all excited! To make the devotees happy, what else is a better purpose of life? So like this we try and use this lockdown period. In the mornings I talk with countries in the east – Thailand, Malaysia, Australia, Singapore. In the evening, with countries in the West.

Parijata mataji: Maharaj, you have always been so pro-active in the media and it is so happy to see the devotees and they themselves are so happy to see you. So what is the most compelling factor that inspired you to start the home visit program?

HH Jayapataka Swami: I want to inspire the devotees to do some preaching. So meeting them and talking to them and also hearing from them of the different programs that they were doing. It was very enlightening. So it became a natural thing. It evolved. All the sannyasis, GBCs, gurus should also do this and see how their altars, how the devotees are, they feel very inspired!

Parijata mataji: Maharaj, do you feel a difference in your relationship before you started this program when there was before COVID when you were connecting to devotes by email or Facebook or even face to face, versus now when you have the home visit programs? Do you feel this has enhanced your connect to your disciples and devotees?

HH Jayapataka Swami: Certainly. I gave a program in Bengaluru. There were 3000 devotees there. So I gave a class. But devotees couldn’t speak to me much. It was a massive program. Here when you go on Zoom, each devotee family, we are talking to, face to face. Maybe 30 seconds or so. But that time they value very much! It is a personal time for them in their house! So I think for the disciples when they see me in big crowds, it is a little personal thing they appreciate a lot. And also it reminds me of them, I see how they are Krsna conscious and how their house is. How the deities are.

Parijata mataji: With the program being such a huge success, how do you feel? Would you like to continue this even after the lockdown? How do you see this program going forward?

HH Jayapataka Swami: During the lockdown devotees are all day long in their house. I would like to do this program even after lockdown but I could do it weekends or nighttime. But now I can do programs in the morning and evening. Plus meetings, classes. Today I had morning, TOVP Exhibits meeting, Eastern India Additional Council Meeting, then COVID-19 prasadam distribution meeting, then Caitanya Leela class, now we are doing this program. All day long process. So sometimes I do some exercises.

Parijata mataji: So besides this program being a big part of you connecting, I think it is one of the biggest medium through which you connect to your disciples and well-wishers, but you have so many of them across the globe. Would you also like to share what are the other ways you also connect? So many numbers, you probably have hundreds of devotees writing to you, wanting to get inspiration from you. So besides this program is there any other form of communication, any modes of communication you follow during this lockdown period?

HH Jayapataka Swami: Email, also with the help of UK disciples, Satyamedha Gauranga das, I have E-care program. Keep track of my devotees, aspirants and it is just rolling out now. And we are trying to integrate that as part of caring for the devotees.

Paritjata mataji: Besides connecting with disciples or well-wishers do you use the social media now connecting with leaders, mangers and for other managerial purposes?

HH Jayapataka Swami:: Like today I had a Eastern Indian Additional Council meeting with all the temple presidents of eastern India. And earlier this year I had a meeting with All India leaders using social media and Zoom. So now since we cannot travel, we use internet to have our meeting with our leaders. So in Delhi they are distributing 500,000 plates of prasadam every day. We are not able to distribute that much. We don’t have that much finance. We are in the village. But we are giving 5 or 6 thousand a day. Also giving grains to the Visnu temples in the area, to different Gaudiya matts and temples which are poverty stricken. Srila Prabhupada said that we should try to unite the Saraswat family. And he said, no one in a ten-mile radius around our temple should not go hungry because is the Father of everyone, Hindus, Muslims everyone! So in the presence of the father, the son should not go hungry!

Parijata mataji: Thank you so much maharaj for giving us an insight into this unique program and I think our viewers will now be curious to know how the program works. And we are very fortunate because maharaj has actually agreed to do a live with us! So we are actually going to do home visits and you can be part of that. Today maharaj is going to be visiting the homes of devotees. We are now on this journey with you and many devotees waiting to meet you today!

Today is the Vyas Puja (Appearance Day) of one of the greatest heroes the world has ever seen and definitely one of the biggest heroes in my life. Today is the Appearance Day of His Holiness Jayapataka Maharaj. "Jayapataka" means "Victory Flag". As his name suggests, Maharaj has achieved victory over insurmountable and seemingly impossible obstacles. His life is an emblem of one-pointed dedication to Guru, selfless service to the Vaishnavas and unparalleled compassion to the common people. Even after going through a life-threatening brain hemorrhage, a liver and a kidney transplant, he still continues to preach the message of His Dear Lord Chaitanya with great vigour and zeal. For him the word "Impossible" means "I am possible". His life is a glaring example to the entire world that, if one is possessed by a burning desire to serve Guru and Gauranga, then anything, literally anything is possible.

Srila Prabhupada, in the initial days of ISKCON itself, recognised him and introduced him to the world as an eternal associate of Lord Chaitanya. Now, we can see with our own eyes how this is so very true. How this eternal associate of Lord Chaitanya has earnestly and sincerely assisted his spiritual master and toiled endlessly to plant the Victory Flag of the Sankirtan movement in every part of the world is a wonder of it's own and will be an important chapter in the modern Sankirtan era. By planting the Victory Flag of the Sankirtan movement around the world, Jayapataka Maharaj has proved true the words spoken by Lord Chaitanya - "param vijayate sri krishna sankirtanam" - "Let there Victory to the Sankirtan of the Holynames".

Offering my most humble and respectful obeisances to the lotus feet of His Holiness Jayapataka Maharaj millions and millions of times and begging him to bestow a drop of his dedication, determination, devotion and compassion on this fallen yet hopeful soul.

Here is a recent video of him trying to encourage the distribution of Srila Prabhupada’s books with a Tulabhara.
Tula means scale and bhara means weight. Traditionally, someone sits on one side of the scale and on the other side rice with shell, coconut, banana, different fruits will be stacked, until it is equal to the weight of the person. Then this bhoga is offered to the Lord. Here it seems that the weight of His Holiness in books will be distributed to lucky souls!!!

Video: http://bit.ly/2RW9mOu
