Srila Prabhupada spoke in an interview in 1968:
“We have got so many branches, they want to hear me, my singing, my speech, therefore they record it and send it to different branches.”

In June of 2019, the Bhaktivedanta Archives completed the release of all of Srila Prabhupada’s audio files. It is now confirmed, there are over 2,400 hours of audio in 3,804 files to be listened to attentively. This is a great victory for his devotees!
Indeed, the devotees want to hear Srila Prabhupada! Everyday we sing in joy “My only wish is to have my consciousness purified by the words emanating from his lotus mouth.”
Srila Prabhupada’s tape ministry in the 1980’s had only 700 hours of audio. The Archives expanded the tape ministry in the 1990’s with another 300 hours. Now we have 2,400 hours to listen to!

has launched the “Audio to Text Fidelity” project to proofread all the lectures, conversations and morning walks of Śrīla Prabhupāda.
After more than forty years, there are still errors in the transcriptions. Therefore our mission is to preserve the integrity of Srila Prabhupada’s spoken words by creating a set of transcripts that are 100% true to what Srila Prabhupada actually said.
We will also be translating all of the Bengali and Hindi phrases that are intertwined within the English audio.
We welcome all devotees who love hearing Srila Prabhupada to join us in this mission.
You will be attentively listening to a lecture, conversation or morning walk of Srila Prabhupada while reading the text and correcting any mistakes you see.
Our Goals:
- A very transparent presentation of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s audio teachings in text form.
- The texts made ready for translating in multi languages.
- The texts made ready for printing in hard copy.
You Will Experience:
- Direct association with Śrīla Prabhupāda as you proofread the texts of his words.
- A personal service, made by you, for the pleasure of Śrīla Prabhupāda.
- The joy of serving with your Vaniseva devotee family in a dynamic project.
The project was developed using the platforms: Trello.com, oTranscribe.com and Google Docs – making the process easily understood for participants.
We take the transcriptions and audio files from Vanisource.org – run them through these platforms – and then place them back into Vanisource nicely proofread.
