In my home we used to make Lord Govardhan from gobar but nowadays due to non-availability of clean gobar ,can we make Lord govardhan from halwa ?

Can women apply tilak even during mensuration time ?

When one is eating even onion and garlic one is not allowed to wear tulsi or kanthi mala, is the same true for tilaka also ? If one is vegetarian but is eating onion , Is he /she not allowed to apply tilaka ?
