  • And there are few more Temples in NCR region like in Noida, Faridabad, and Ghaziabad about whom I am very slightly aware as I have never visited (even being too close to these Temples).

Many more Temples are to open. One Temple at Rohini area in Delhi is being purchased and just the foundation laid ceremony is to occur.

Prabhuji, I shall share with you more of the information regarding Delhi Yatra after inquiring from my seniors. Knowing about something we are a part of is natural to ask for- something which every ISKCONite should know. And thus, I shall request my seniors to share the history of Delhi Yatra to the most useless soul i.e. me.

kindly forgive me for any offensive and useless words.

Please be merciful to this wretched like person to develop the taste for chanting the Holy Names of God.

Yours most foolish, useless and ignorant servant

    Mohnish Goel

    (IYF- Punjabi Bagh Temple)

    Dandavat Pranams

  • Also, Because you have accepted me as your servant after accepting my "friend" request (the word should be something else) and desired to know about the development of ISKCON Delhi FROM ME, I feel very blessed at this point of moment.

Though I am very much unqualified to share anything with my very very senior devotee, but you out of your causeless mercy have desired ME to share the Delhi yatra. Moreover whatever information I shall share with your grace, will be findings observed through my imperfect senses. Kindly excuse me for any offence.

    Here comes the part:

As you may know that Srila Prabhupada had desired and wanted 12 Temples in Delhi or NCR (Non-capital region) by expressing his wish in one of the letter to his disciple.

Taking this 'desire' as his heart and soul, Srila Prabhupada's dear disciple, HH Gopal Krsna Goswami Maharaj started working on it wholeheartedly. Leaving no stone unturned, he successfully led the opening of the first biggest Temple of ISKCON in Delhi- Sri Sri Radha Parthasarthi Temple- in the year 1998 in the presence of 'Prime Minister of India'.

Its stunningly beautiful Temple having loads of devotional activities happening at almost every corner of the Campus. I should say its quite happening.

Also, the other Temple of ISKCON is in Punjabi Bagh Area which was opened somewhere in the year 1985. The progress of this Punjabi Bagh Yatra till 2007 is unknown to me. (Shall ask my senior devotees).

In the year 2007, Sri Sri Krsna Balarama decided to make a new home at Punjabi Bagh Temple which was initially the home of only Sri Sri Radha Radhika-Raman and JBS (Jagannath-Baladeva-Subhadra Maharani). Thus, on Radhashtmi-20th august'07, Sri Sri Krsna Balarama blessed the devotees with Their presence in Their Deity form. From then onwards, many many things are happening in this Temple too.

  • Please accept my most humble obeisances unto your feet
