What is considered preaching?

Hare Krishna to all the devotees

All glories to srila Prabhupada

If we try and talk about God, God realisation and things from scriptures to people in our school or to someone whom we know, is that also considered preaching?

If it is should we do it, even if we are not free from lust, anger, greed, etc?

the person who you said claimed to be God, what did he preach?

He didn't. That's not preaching at all. That's bogus, even though someone may be quoting from here & there. Completely bogus !

If that is not preaching at all, why did you bring up this topic in this discussion here with regard to preaching?

There are three possibilities. He is lying or that he is delusional or telling the truth.

In case there is a remote chance that he is telling the truth or that he is delusional. Then how is it that it is completely bogus?

I don't think when a christ comes, he just randomly gives other names and tell them you are Radha, you are Lalita, etc.

I also knew him for when I came to IDT, of course we can't blame it on the person, since we don't know their mental state from here, but I don't think he was a chosen one.

                Thank you for the clarification.

I was just trying to give example of Christ, I don't mean it literally, that is why I said ' a ' Christ and not ' the ' Christ. Actually there is only one Christ and when he was asked, " Are you the Messiah ? " He answered with a simple " Yes ".

                • No i understood, I also used Christ as it means 'the chosen one' .

                  Hare Krishna

                  • Okay, you think Christ is ' the chosen one'.

But this person claimed to be God. God is never the chosen one because there is nobody to choose Him. Can you understand this ?

                    • I am glad that you do not wish to discuss this any further.

                      Hare Krishna

                    • Ok prabhuji, I think there seems to be a misunderstanding I didn't meant to say that God is the chosen one, when I said about Christ I actually meant about the people who come to preach about God. Not about GOD himself. But I think we can just end it here, since the person who was doing all this is banned and we don't need to talk abut that.

                    • Lord Krishna says in Bhagavad gita 7.7, " mattah parataram nanyat ". There is no truth superior to Me. If God is the ' chosen one ' then the person who chooses Him as God must be superior to Him. Which is not possible. Goddess Laksmi, however, chose Him as Her Husband and He accepted.
