Siva Purana - A Bona-Fide PDF Request

I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of my spiritual master and unto the feet of all Vaisnavas. I offer my respectful obeisances unto the lotus feet of Srila Rupa Gosvami along with his elder brother Sanatana Gosvami, as well as Raghunatha Dasa and Raghunatha Bhatta, Gopala Bhatta, and Srila Jiva Gosvami. I offer my respectful obeisances to Lord Krsna Caitanya and Lord Nityananda along with Advaita Acarya, Gadadhara, Srivasa, and other associates. I offer my respectful obeisances to Srimati Radharani and Sri Krsna along with Their associates, Sri Lalita and Visakha. I offer my respects to Radharani whose bodily complexion is like molten gold and who is the Queen of Vrndavana. You are the daughter of King Vrsabhanu, and You are very dear to Lord Krsna. I offer my respectful obeisances unto all the Vaisnava devotees of the Lord who can fulfill the desires of everyone, just like desire trees, and who are full of compassion for the fallen souls. I offer my obeisances to Sri Krsna Caitanya, Prabhu Nityananda, Sri Advaita, Gadadhara, Srivasa and all others in the line of devotion.

Dear brothers and sisters,

I hope you are all doing very well.

May someone kindly share with me an authentic (bona-fide) PDF document of the Siva Purana?

Sincerely,

Śyāma-Vallabha Dāsa, a humble servant of the Lord

  • Hare Krishna Prabhu ji, Pamho.

You know better then us. We consider SB( Srimad Bhagwatam) as the essense of all the puranas and vedas. Even Vyas Maharshi was not contended when he complied other puranas and wanted to compose an essense to all the scriputures  and as well describe in detail the Leelas of Lord Sri Krishna. After composing Srimad Bhagwatam then only he felt contended and satisfied.

Do we need other puranas more to study?

The Shiva Purana is one of eighteen Purana genre of Sanskrit texts in Hinduism, and part of the Shaivism literature corpus. It primarily centers around the Hindu god Shiva and goddess Parvati, but references and reveres all gods.

We being Vaishnavas don't preach or encourage Shivism but still for increasing knowledge if you want to read there is so many websites available where you can download or read online. Shiva Purana.

You can read English version under this website too. It is authentic source.

As far as I know Srila Prabhupada has not translated Shiva Purana.

    Hare Krishna.

    • I understand that, dear Prabhu, I was only trying to look for a verse HG Amogh Lila Prabhu referred to in one of his lectures of who Lord Shiva is.

Thank you so much for your prompt reply, my dear. Hare Krishna!
