NOWADAYS LOT OF PEOPLE ARE KEEP ON TAKING PHOTOS OF THE VIGRAH AND ALSO TAKES SELFIE WITH THE DIETY , ALSO PEOPLE KEEP SENDING PHOTOS ON WHATS UP DAILY .
HOW TO GET OUT OF THIS AND IS IT OKE TO TAKE SELFIE WITH VIGRAH , TEMPLE DIETY

It is absolutely offensive to take a "selfie" with the Deity in the background. You should avoid turning your back to the Deity. Sometimes that is unavoidalbe, but to do it purposefully (in order to take a selfie) is inexcusable.
The Deity is not there for our amusement or self-aggrandizement.

Well, why you do you go to a temple, when you have a altar at your home? Why do you feel more peaceful and blissful when you go to the temple?
It is because of the Sanctity and purity that is maintained there. The temple deity's are worshiped daily and there is life in those idols they are not mere idols they have been done pranaprathisthapana procedure. Many Veda mantras are recited by the priests and this makes the idol a deity and the place energized .. that is why when people visit a temple they feel energized and they feel some sort of internal bliss.... Many people see temple is the place where God resides and feel He is actually present there why? only because of the constant effort to maintain this purity and sanctity of the Sanctum Sanctorum. If you take pictures with the deity it makes it like a common place of recreation. If one does it many will do ..then there is no Sanctity left there. Temple and a place of recreation would look same.
So we avoid taking pictures of the temple main deity.
Secondly, what is this selfie taking with God? If you really want to take a picture with God. Then you must actually realize your self .. what you saying as self is only a selfie .. the self or atman is a permanent friend of Supersoul. Ataman and the Supersoul always are sitting side by side in the region of your heart. Try to see that rather and taking a picture with the deity in the background giving more importance to your body.. is not as worthy as realizing Lord within you. When HE is ur friend and HE is sitting right next to you within.

Old sages took 1000's of years to understand that they have a permanent friend of their self existing within themselves as Parmatma. By closing they eyes and shutting all other senses and realizing the Lord within themselves in the heart. To get a glimpse of Lord for split of second and to capture the Image.. in the mind's eyes is only a real selfie.
It is not nice to spoil the place's purity for ur own selfish interest. Many people go to temple with a intent that their is Real God sitting there and feel His presence there. Why hurt the people's belief? let us all maintain the Sanctity of the Sanctum Sanctorum.

Selfie with the deity is not allowed. Please refrain. Its ok to click deity pictures and send via whatsapp or any other mode, but its not ok to click selfie with Krsna. The reason is - we are so self obsessed that we will be paying attention to ourselves only, not to Krsna. If we were paying attention to Krsna, then how could the thought of taking selfie come to our mind?
