Our Role in Goloka.....

Hare Krishna to all devotees, Please accept my humble obeisance.

All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

One of my devotee friend told me that we have our role already decided in Golok irrespective of how and in which form we pray ... Lord Krishna is the only god whom we can worship as a friend, son and as a lover also... I worship lord Krishna as a friend and even if I reach Golok after n number of years.. I would like to serve Krishna as a friend only and I will be fortunate enough if get a chance to play with him.. that will be the most wonderful experience ....   I know even if I can be a blade of a grass I can serve Krishna BUT being a grass or being a animal there is not actually we are looking for to be our role in golok ...    Please advance devotees correct me if m going worng.. just the ques pop up in my mind....

Hare Krishna

your servant

  • Here is the complete description of Goloka:~

There are innumerable divine abodes (e.g. various abodes of gods and goddesses [Mahābrahmā, Mahāshambhu, Durgā-devi etc], and many Vaikunthas of the various Avataras of Vishnu, Dvārika, Mathura Puri, Goloka-Vrindāvana, etc) in Tripadvibhūti (beyond the divine virajā river); and all of those are made up of Shuddha-sattva and all filled with supreme bliss of Brahm (Brahmananda)!

Beyond all those, there is the supreme abode of Vishnu (i.e. Ādi-Vaikuntha). The devotees and servants of Lord's lotus-feet reside in the supreme (Adi-)Vaikuntha lōka, that Supreme abode of Bhagavān Vishnu, the very embodiment and bestower of the bliss of Brahm.

At the very center of that (Adi Vaikuntha lōka in the Paramavyōm) is situated the divine city renowned by the name of Ayodhyā, which is adorned and filled all around by amazing multi storied buildings and picturesque Vimaans."

    3)

The eternal Ayodhya is the very form of the nature Sat (eternal existence), Chit (pure consciousness) and Ananda (supreme bliss). All Vaikuntha-s (the abode of Vishnus), Goloka (the abode of lord Krishna) etc are in existence as mere one part of the glory of Ayodhya."

    4)

Śrī Rāma is himself Parambrahm, the very form of Sat [eternal existence] - Chit [consciousness] - Ananda [bliss], whose divine abode [Divine Ayōdhyā Śrī Sākēta-Lōka] is eternally self illuminated even beyond the divine world Gōlōka."

The divine city Ayodhya is in the middle of the topmost part of Adi Vaikuntha lōka. It shows Shri Rama's abode divine Ayodhya is the original root source of all Vaikuntha-lōkas, and even the Adi-Vaikuntha lōka or Golok. The abode of Ādi-Nārāyaṇa is present in the outer circle of divine city Ayōdhyā.

From here we get the detail description:~

"Beyond the physical (material) universe, there is spiritual space in which all the abodes are (made of) Shuddha-Satva. In the spiritual space, there is a divine abode ‘Mahā-vaishnava' by name, the residence of great 'Mahā-Vishnu'. One gets all desired fruits in this mysterious higher world.”

    8)

"Above the 'Mahā-vaiṣṇava' Loka, there is another 'Satyalok' [the abode of BrahmA of Tripad-Vibhuti]. There live many Siddha-s, great Yogi-s and the god conscious souls. Lord Mahā-Shambhu (Lord Sadā-Shiva) fully endowed with all kinds of potency disports there in the Sadashiva-Lok [which is present above the 'Satyalok' of Mahā-Brahmā]."

    9)

"Above the Mahā-Shambhu-Loka, there is the supremely divine abode of Lord Vishnu known as 'Mahā-vaikuṇṭha' where Lord Vasudeva (Vishnu) [and other Vyuhas and various Avataras] etc disport there with their own inherent potency."

    10)

"Above the Mahā-vaikuntha, there is supremely divine eternal abode, which is eternally self illuminated, very form of divine light, highly refulgent, known as 'Gōlōka' which is completely beyond the reach of sensory organs and inexpressible in words."

    11)

"At the center of the 'Gōlōka', there is supremely divine world which is known as 'Sāketa' (Śrī Sāketa-Loka) adorned with effulgent gems and served by divine damsels (eternally young ladies) adorned with various ornaments."

And finally we can conclude that the center of the whole universe is Ayodhya or Saket, out of which many many Vaikunthas including Goloka and etc.
    As mentioned in Padma Puran,

  • There are differences between sampradayas but im not questioning
Prabhupada teachings as im too fallen its just other sampradayas do not accept krsna to be origin of all incarnations. You can ask anyone from sri sampradaya.im very sorry not intend to hurt anyone.jaya prabhupada.
  • Hare Krishna Amit Prabhu!

Thank you very much for posting such an honest inquiry to all devotees.

To my mind, nothing wrong to imagine that you are playing with Krishna and serving Him with love, sincerity, genuineness, devotion and truthfulness. Remember, most of us are struggling with our spiritual as well as material lives. However, they are expert in giving imaginary suggestions and advice to others. Please read Bhagavad Gita and Bhagavatam again and again. Many questions will be clear to you. You will see, how merciful Krishna is!

I am not in a position to tell you if it is wrong or right to imagine about your role in Goloka. There are many examples that Krishna liberated many fallen souls. Please read Bhagavatam 3.15.16-23 and you will learn how wonderful the Vaikuntha is!  You can also read a brief description of Vaikuntha in one place by clicking this link: http://krishna.com/description-vaikuntha. I would like to refer the last sentence of the article named "Description of Vaikuntha "which is: “It is very much regrettable that unfortunate people do not discuss the description of the Vaikuntha planets.”

Please continue chanting and loving Krishna. He will enlighten you to understand Him better.

Wish to see your continuous progress towards spiritual life.

    Hare Krishna!

    Description of Vaikuntha | Krishna.com
  • I know .only iskcon says radhakrsna is the origin of all expansions.every devotee is unique im not judging I mean prahlad maharaj adopted the relationship of servant n master whereas gopis were lovers but all are great.I mean the philosophy that only with krsna form all relationships can be formed that is parental, lover, conjugal etc....is not inline with the idea that God in everyform is capable of anything and is not subject to outer environment like us.Those who say they dont want liberation just do not know what liberation is.its just u donr deserve it for yourself but to continue in devotional service.devotees must only reject liberation of merging with the supreme kind of liberation where there is no service. Are we so great that we can stay here longer and dont fall down.NO.
  • For me Vaikuntha is the final abode.I am only longing for the service of lakshmi and narayan just like a simple servant. When you arrive there you will know in what position and duties you will fit and be given by the lord.Do not worry overthere everything is good and will  give you unlimited happiness. Also we have never gone to the spiritual world as no one fall from there.we are here in the material sky since time immemorial. Now its time to go back.

  • Hare Krishna, PAMHO, AGTSP,

A true Devotee just pray for causeless mercy & company of true Devotees life after life. He wants to be identified as Devotee of Sri Krsna, just all. He never aspire to go Golok Vridavan.

    Dandavat,

    your servant

  • Volunteer

    also agree.

Krishna is so kind that He made Putana His mother in spiritual world because she gave her milk to him.

What to speak of a Devotee like You Prabhu. Yes surely if You desire He will accept Your friendship.

But for time being we have to chant 16 rounds and follow 4 regulative principles and always eat Prasadam and associate with Devotees.

In spiritual world living beings can change their bodies according to their desires. Because all trees are desire trees, land is out of a touchstone, all cows are desire fulfilling cows.

So Lord Balaram for example in order to serve to Krishna better becomes His towel, shoes, ....

Some living beings become flowers, bees....cows....His flute....clouds...

After all no matter which svarupa or form we will have in Golok we will love our situation like anything.

Flower is happy to be a flower for Krishna as much as a Gopi.

    Your servant,
