I don't think one needs to fast for navaratri's. These are only applicable to those who worship demigods. Those who worship Krishna everything is taken care of.

If still you want to do fasting than its upto you. You can do fasting 9 days with jagaran also. if possible. Do Ekadashi fasting properly without committing mistakes.. it is more than enough.
