I know that 1 of Lord Krishna's energy is the material energy. And that energy is Durga who is the wife of Lord Shiva. But according to this verse Srila Prabhupada says (Srimad-Bhagavatam
3.9.16, purport),
Of the three principal agents controlling the three modes of material nature, Vishnu is the Almighty; even though He is within material nature for the purpose of maintenance, He is not controlled by the laws of material nature. The other two, Brahma and Shiva, although almost as greatly powerful as Vishnu, are within the control of the material energy of the Supreme Lord.
It says that Shiva is under the control of material energy(Durga). Can some1 plz explain why?

hare krsna. srijon saha ji, Durga who is the wife of lord shiva is wholly dedicated to serving him. One comes under the control of someone who is devoted to you just like krsna comes under the control of his devotees. i hope this satisfies you.
How can Krishna come under the control of his devotees. Can you plz explain?

Hare Krishna !! The only thing Krishna can't do is to keep himself separated from His devotees. By observing the selfless service of devotees who don't seek anything other than Krishna's pleasure and a desire to be in His service, Krishna feels so pleased Himself and lets himself come under the loving control of His devotees. The control is through pure love and not the material control we see in this world.
