  • There is no difference between Vaikuntha and Goloka, both are in the same place. All these dhams originated from Saket or Ayodhya.

There are innumerable divine abodes (e.g. various abodes of gods and goddesses [Mahābrahmā, Mahāshambhu, Durgā-devi etc], and many Vaikunthas of the various Avataras of Vishnu, Dvārika, Mathura Puri, Goloka-Vrindāvana, etc) in Tripadvibhūti (beyond the divine virajā river); and all of those are made up of Shuddha-sattva and all filled with supreme bliss of Brahm (Brahmananda)!

Beyond all those, there is the supreme abode of Vishnu (i.e. Ādi-Vaikuntha). The devotees and servants of Lord's lotus-feet reside in the supreme (Adi-)Vaikuntha lōka, that Supreme abode of Bhagavān Vishnu, the very embodiment and bestower of the bliss of Brahm.

At the very center of that (Adi Vaikuntha lōka in the Paramavyōm) is situated the divine city renowned by the name of Ayodhyā, which is adorned and filled all around by amazing multi storied buildings and picturesque Vimaans."

The eternal Ayodhya is the very form of the nature Sat (eternal existence), Chit (pure consciousness) and Ananda (supreme bliss). All Vaikuntha-s (the abode of Vishnus), Goloka (the abode of lord Krishna) etc are in existence as mere one part of the glory of Ayodhya."

Śrī Rāma is himself Parambrahm, the very form of Sat [eternal existence] - Chit [consciousness] - Ananda [bliss], whose divine abode [Divine Ayōdhyā Śrī Sākēta-Lōka] is eternally self illuminated even beyond the divine world Gōlōka."

The divine city Ayodhya is in the middle of the topmost part of Adi Vaikuntha lōka. It shows Shri Rama's abode divine Ayodhya is the original root source of all Vaikuntha-lōkas, and even the Adi-Vaikuntha lōka or Golok. The abode of Ādi-Nārāyaṇa is present in the outer circle of divine city Ayōdhyā.

From here we get the detail description:~

    8)

"Above the 'Mahā-vaiṣṇava' Loka, there is another 'Satyalok' [the abode of BrahmA of Tripad-Vibhuti]. There live many Siddha-s, great Yogi-s and the god conscious souls. Lord Mahā-Shambhu (Lord Sadā-Shiva) fully endowed with all kinds of potency disports there in the Sadashiva-Lok [which is present above the 'Satyalok' of Mahā-Brahmā]."

    9)

    10)

"Above the Mahā-vaikuntha, there is supremely divine eternal abode, which is eternally self illuminated, very form of divine light, highly refulgent, known as 'Gōlōka' which is completely beyond the reach of sensory organs and inexpressible in words."

    11)

"At the center of the 'Gōlōka', there is supremely divine world which is known as 'Sāketa' (Śrī Sāketa-Loka) adorned with effulgent gems and served by divine damsels (eternally young ladies) adorned with various ornaments."

And finally we can conclude that the center of the whole universe is Ayodhya or Saket, out of which many many Vaikunthas including Goloka and etc.
    As mentioned in Padma Puran,

    "रामनामांशतो जाता ब्रह्माण्डाः कोटिकोटिशः"

    कोटि-कोटि ब्रह्माण्ड - रामनामके अंशसे उत्पन्न होते है।

    Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

    PAMHO.

Our aim is to serve the lord, in whatever capacity He decides. That is pure unalloyed devotion.

It is possible that some devotees are attracted to a different form of the lord, like Ram or Nrisimha or any other form. Then those devotees go to that loka. Some may be attracted to any of the 5 forms of liberation - they will get that. It is a fallacy to think that unless we reach Goloka Vrindavan, we have failed. Different souls relate to the lord in different moods and lord reciprocates with each soul in their chosen mood. So what is the problem?

Yes, if a soul wants to go to Goloka Vrindavan from Vaikuntha, that is not possible. FOr that, he has to first come to earth, do enough sadhana to go to GOloka Vrindavan. I had heard this in a lecture.

    Haribol,

    • Thanks for reply

can you please share that lecture link.

what is difference between attaining vaikuntha and attaining moksha. As in all types of moksha also except merging into effulgence the soul attains lord vishnu. Then why moksha is not considered ultimate goal and considered in material platform

        Hare Krsna Prabhuji,

        PAMHO.

Link not available, heard lecture more than 10 years ago in offline mode. Speaker was HH Bhakti Caru Maharaj.

Attaining moksha is definitely not considered in material platform. If it is on material platform, then how it is liberation?

Attaining Vaikuntha is in one of the 5 types of moksha.

Moksha is the ultimate goal for whoever reaches there.

It is not considered the highest goal, because there is still a sense of self enjoyment in moksha - same opulences asthe lord, near the lord, same planet as the lord, same form as the lord etc. Whereas one interested only in devotional service is considered higher, likely to go to Goloka Vrindavan.

        Prabhu,

I would like to know more about you. Please can you tell us something about yourself.

        Haribol,

        Your servant,

        Radha Rasamayi DD

        • Cc madya lila 19.17 Those who aspire for liberation (mukti or mokṣa) and introduce themselves as vaidāntika are also equal to those groups aspiring to improve religion (dharma), economic development (artha) and sense gratification (kāma). Dharma, artha, kāma and mokṣa are called catur-varga. They are all within the system of inferior, material knowledge.

Mataji there is nothing special in me which i can tell you. I am just a fallen soul who by srila Prabhupad mercy got a chance to reunite with krishna

  • Hare Krishna

The original home for those jivas whose inclination is towards worship of Laksmi Narayana is Vaikuntha.
