Connecting Devotees Worldwide - In Service Of Srila Prabhupada

Hare Krishna dear Devotees, please accept my humble obeisances!

All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

It is true every girl should be married and protected from other men.

But sometimes because girl is little bit serious in spiritual life it is considered as a disqualification;

People think that person with stronger spiritual values are not capable of performing their material duties. Where as they do not know that indeed such person is more devoted to his/her duties knowing that by doing all that she/he will please Krishna.

And that, they decide seeing some other examples in life.

So if Devotees don't consider getting married to a spiritually inclined girl what if girl gets married to a non Devotee?

Because not being married is a dangerous choice.

Thank You so much!

Your servant, Mohini Madhavi Dd.

Hare Krishna mata g
Acc to me it does not make any difference if a devotee girl is going to marry a devotee or a non devotee but what matters is that both girl and boy must understand each other and respects each others views and feelings and what I think marriage is a pious thing and should be done only if both the persons understand each other and sprituality is not considered as a disquality ,it's insides everyone ,we just need to identify it and enhance it . And I personally donot think that Indian boys think of all this before going to marry. In my family everyone knows how to cook , wash cloths so we donot need to depend on each other for our personal work and I really donot think that we are going to marry just to reduce our burden of work .Marriage is about to spend your whole life with someone who understand u , who makes u a complete person ,who always stand for u in difficult time , he/she will understand your emotions with out any need for explaining every thing . So I donot thing the concept of getting married to a devotee or non devotee exists

Respected Devotees, PAMHO.AGTSP,

Kindly note that our sincereity in each relation and each action is being observed by Sri Krishna Himself sitting in our heart as Parmatama, hence, whatever may be the circumstances,we have to give our best. Our motive has to be, to please Krishna and Him only. Kindly also note and may be you all knowing that whatever happens in the life of a Devotee, it is according to the planning of Sri Krishna where as in the life of a karmi, it is as per his/her action/fruits of action. So try to surrender to Him and rest leave. Even if after doing your best sincere efforts, you are forced to suffer, kindly accept suffering happily as prasadam of Sri Krishna and continue to do devotional service uninterrupted. If we are able to understand this view and act accordingly,I am of the opinion that in this or next life(s),we will be able to achieve our target.

I may kindly be excused by you vaishnavas for any offence committed.

Hare Krishna Mataji,
Dandvat!!!!!!!!
PAMHO!!!!!!!!!
AGTSP!!!!!!!!
Radhey! Radhey!

Mataji i would like to say that if a girl weather she is Indian or foreigner if she is in K.C. and want to marry some one who is actually can understand her from all the points specially in her devotional services toward Lord then that does not matter weather he is in devotional service or not but he should be a genuine and easy to understand life partner if he does have these qualities iam sure any mataji who is in Devotional service will not face any trouble after marriage in her Bhakti.

[Haribol]

subject of getting married to a non devotee is so simple,

if the mataji can make non devotee man chanting singing , reading holy books and eating prasad, making him devotee,

then she can marry even candala .

on another side if she cant, because of different view on life and habits,

it will be hard to stay together long, and she will be unhappy.

to stay in the marriage she will be forced to compromise ,which can be base of forgetting or ignoring bhakty sadhana.

thats why its important in marriage similar way of thinking, view on life, habits,..

SB 12.2.3  Men and women will live together merely because of superficial attraction, and success in business will depend on deceit. Womanliness and manliness will be judged according to one’s expertise in sex, and a man will be known as a brāhmaṇa just by his wearing a thread.

.

so its very important not to get married because of attraction, instead because of religious principle.

married is a nostaljic tradition of our sociaty....i am born in a lower family ......the out side people of sociaty bad commented on the unmarried female and male.......it is not  good ...sex is not completing life....spirituality make complete life.......but married also essential bcz every great holy men even krishna, budda also  wishingly but also birth from any of any holy mothers womb....so it is not possible to born from air..to getting marriage according to sastra of religion is a spiritual marriage

PAMHO AGTSP!

There is no telling the variations in situations and circumstances.  Some essentials I discerned from Srila Prabhupada's teachings are as follows.

There should be a plan before choosing a marriage partner.

If possible a marriage partner should be a good Vaisnava devotee or a good aspiring Vaisnava devotee.

A couple for marriage needs to have a good understanding of the four regulative principles (no meat-eating, no illicit sex, no intoxication, no gambling) and can live this standard with understanding and without too much argument.

A couple needs to keep with Hare Krsna devotional observances every day which includes a number of authorized activities such as Hare Krsna Maha Mantra meditations, study of authorized Vaisnava Sastra, offering all food to God "Lord Sri Krsna" before any eating, and morning devotional observances.

A devotee couple should make their means of livelihood simple enough that they are not in too much neglect of their Hare Krsna devotional observances as mentioned above.

A devotee couple needs to learn that sex is only for conceiving Hare Krsna children. They need to learn how to live with out sex desire almost entirely.  Too much sex can lead to more and more descent into degradation.  There are so many authorized Hare Krsna activities that can serve to help devotee couples to keep from thinking about sex indulgence.

Divorce as an option should be renounced.  I devotee married couple needs to find a way to manage differences in accordance with Hare Krsna teachings.  Argument should be avoided if possible.

A devotee couple needs to be tolerant of each others imperfections, weaknesses, or shortcomings.

Srila Prabhupada also warned and indicated a number of times that the bride and groom should be about the same age or the wife younger.  Check with your local government on how young a girl can be legally married.

I wish you all good fortune and all the Blessings of Lord Sri Krsna!
